Research Activities

Recently a new tyoe of compactification of dimensions in F-M- String Theory, from 12, 11, 10 to 4 respectively, has become attractive to researchers, called flux compactification. The idea is to let some of the strenght from field of the theory have non vanishing fluxes in the compact manifold. What such models provide for us is the ability to derive some important cosmological solutions/models from string theory by "geometric engineering", also to fix the "moduli space" of the Theory.
