  Abstract:
In this paper The current understanding of the structure of the proton is reviewed, along with a framework within which di ractive deep inelastic processes may be studied. More over, the presence of di raction in deep inelastic scattering is suggested, con rmed and quanti ed. At the end, our conventional DGLAP analysis which results in a good description of di ractive structure functions at higher values of Q2 is detailed and the present level of understanding of the partonic structure of the di ractive exchange is discussed.
