How Can the Cosmological Neutrinos Help Us to Extract the CP- Violating Phase of the Neutrino Mixing Matrix?

Dr. Yasaman Farzan from IPM

Abstract: The state-of-the-art neutrino telescope, ICECUBE, is under construction at the south pole. This neutrino detector will have a great prospect of detecting neutrinos produced at sources such as Gamma Ray Bursters located at cosmological distances (z ∼ 1). In this talk, we discuss how we can derive information on the CP-violating Dirac phase of the neutrino mixing matrix using these neutrinos.
