Abstract

Classification problems of subcategories have been studied for about fifty years in many areas of mathematics, including ring theory, stable homotopy theory, modular representation theory and algebraic geometry. In this series of lectures, we will study classifying some kinds of subcategories of the category of finitely generated modules over a commutative Noetherian ring, and thick subcategories of the derived category and the singularity category.
