14:00 - 15:00 QPM Weekly Seminar (Hybrid Format) Controlling spin dynamics in two-dimensional magnetic materials School QUANTUM PHYSICS AND MATTER The structural, magnetic and electrical properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials can be controlled by external electric fields, strain, doping, and stacking engineering, making them promising candidates for novel spintronic and memory devices. In this talk, I present recent theoretical insights into the spin dynamics of 2D magnetic materials, highlighting how external electric fields and strain affect spin-spin interactions and magnetic textures in 2D CrI3. A spin-model Hamiltonian, including symmetric isotropic exchange interactions, magnetic anisotropy energy, and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions, is used to predict the m ... |
