فعالیت‌های پژوهشی

Although there is compelling evidence for some form of matter in the universe generically known as dark matter, its nature is unknown.
I have been interested in building dark matter models, with special focus on dark matter models that can also generate mass for neutrinos at the loop level (generically known as SLIM models).
These models have a rich phenomenology with effects appearing in a myriad of experiments and observations ranging from early universe cosmology and supernova evolution to neutrino experiments and rare meson decays.
While we enter the neutrino precision era, it becomes imperative to consider the possible effects of Non-Standard neutrino Interaction (NSI) with matter fields. In a series of models, I have built models for NSI. We investigate the possibility to test these models by neutrino experiments and beyond.
So far the search for new physics by main detectors of the LHC, CMS and ATLAS have yielded only null results. However, it is possible that new physics involves dark sector with relatively light particles that can directly or indirectly be produced at the LHC Interaction Point in the forward direction.
The so-called forward experiments such as FASER and SND@LHC are best suited to test this class of models. Since FASER? was proposed in 2019, studying the potential of this experiment and its peers and successors to search for new physics has been one of my main research interests.
