| 10:00 - 12:00 Beam Lines and Building School ILSF List of ILSF Technical Groups Weekly Meeting ... 11:00 - 12:00 Wednesday Weekly Seminar - google meet Determination of the generalized parton distributions School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS We determine the valence generalized parton distributions (GPDs) $ H_v^q $ and $ E_v^q $ with their uncertainties at zero skewness by performing a $ chi^2 $ analysis of the world electron scattering data considering two-photon exchange corrections. The data include a wide and updated range of the electric and magnetic form factors (FFs) of the proton and neutron. As a result, we find that there are no enough constraints on GPDs $ E_v^q $ from FFs data solely though $ H_v^q $ are well constrained. By including the new data of the charge and magnetic radius of the nucleon in the analysis, we show that they put new constraints on the fina ... 13:30 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar (Online) Frequency stabilization of a 4.7THz Quantum Cascade Laser: toward increasing the spectral resolution of OI channel of GREAT instrument of SOFIA telescope School ASTRONOMY Up to now OI channel of GREAT instrument has suffered from frequency instabilities that widen the linewidth, thus limiting the spectral resolution. In this talk, I first give an introduction to the airborne SOFIA telescope and GREAT instrument onboard. This follows with an overview to heterodyne radio astronomy and the crucial role of local oscillator (LO); in the OI channel of GREAT a 4.7 THz Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) is served as LO. There was need for some developments in this project, I show the essential ones: a compact ‘pyro detector’ for THz and mm wave measurements and a ‘cryostat’ which is the host to all further experiments.
