| 11:00 - 12:00 Wednesday Weekly Seminar - google meet Design and Fabrication of a Micro CAT detector for X-ray radiation School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Abstract: In this talk, we introduce a position sensitive gas detector based on a Micro CAT gas detector which will be used in variable experiments with synchrotron radiation. Firstly, the design and the simulation of Micro CAT have been performed and then a prototype detector with an active area of 10*10 cm2, has been developed and fabricated according to these design parameters. Primary tests have been carried out using characteristic X-ray source demonstrating the position encoding capability of this detector. And also, the performances of the detector were tested using a 55Fe radioactive source. Several mechanisms for the formation of Quantum droplets have been proposed in recent years. These systems, in particular, might be suitable candidates for observing the long-sought "Super-solid" phase.
