Design and Fabrication of a Micro CAT detector for X-ray radiation

Abstract: In this talk, we introduce a position sensitive gas detector based on a Micro CAT gas detector which will be used in variable experiments with synchrotron radiation. Firstly, the design and the simulation of Micro CAT have been performed and then a prototype detector with an active area of 10*10 cm2, has been developed and fabricated according to these design parameters. Primary tests have been carried out using characteristic X-ray source demonstrating the position encoding capability of this detector. And also, the performances of the detector were tested using a 55Fe radioactive source.

Quantum-droplets in ultra-cold gases
Ultra-cold atomic gases with their unique controllability are very suitable platforms for studying and simulating different quantum phenomena. Several mechanisms for the formation of Quantum droplets have been proposed in recent years. These systems, in particular, might be suitable candidates for observing the long-sought "Super-solid" phase. In this talk, I will review the possibility of observing Quantum droplets in bosonic and fermionic Rydberg-dressed gases.
