14:00 - 16:30 Seminar Neuroelectric Biomarkers of Network Dysfunction in Motor Neuron Disease School COGNITIVE SCIENCES The quantification of phenotypes, progression and outcome in the clinical trials of Motor Neuron Disease (MND) remains a challenge, as the existing biomarkers are expensive or invasive, and focus on focal structural degeneration rather than functional changes in the brain networks. Our team have used advanced signal analysis and statistical techniques to develop high-density EEG measures for quantifying the neuroelectric activity and functional connectivity in specific brain networks that are engaged in during resting-state activity and cognitive/motor tasks. These measures show correlation to structural degeneration (MRI) and functional scor ... |
