A pipeline for searching Stochastic Gravitational Wave by Pulsar Timing Residuals

ASTRONOMY

Among various astrophysical processes, Millisecond pulsars is highly stable and the predictability of their rotational behavior leading to be an almost proper tool to elucidate various physical phenomena ranging from early universe to late time. In this talk, based on self-similarity of a typical stochastic process, we propose a robust pipeline in order to examine the footprint of stochastic gravitational waves superimposed on the pulsar timing residuals (PTRs). We introduce a new algorithm, the so-called Irregular-Multi-Fractal-Detrended-Cross Correlation-Analysis (Irregular MF- DXA), to deal with irregular data sampling recorded in the obse ...

Calculation of spacetime metric by first law of entanglement entropy in gauge/gravity correspondence

School
PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS

Abstract: There is a holographic interpretation for the entanglement entropy of field theories by using gauge/gravity correspondence. Variation of entanglement entropy in any field theory is given in terms of a formula which is known as the first law of entanglement entropy. In this talk I will briefly review the recent progresses in connecting this formula to the linearized Einstein equations of dual gravity theory. This review will be in the context of AdS/CFT and flat/BMSFT correspondences.
