14:00 - 16:00 Mathtematical Logic Weekly Seminar On Foreman's Maximality Principle School MATHEMATICS Foreman's maximality principle says that any non-trivial forcing notion either adds a new real or collapses a cardinal. In 1984, Foreman-Magidor-Shelah asked if this principle is consistent. In this talk, we discuss some consequences of Foreman's maximality principle, and prove the consistency of some of its variants.
