| 10:00 - 11:00 Weekly Seminar Brain Oscillations: Between Order and Disorder School BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss how the collective oscillations of neural circuits contribute in the basic and high-level brain functions and why we should expect that the abnormal spectrum of the brain rhythms are associated with different neurological and cognitive disorders as the experimental observations show. We will see that, there is an intermediate and time-dependent degree of the harmony between the neuronal activities in the nervous system which leads to a dynamic pattern of brain oscillations, specific for the brain state, and consistent across trials, subjects, and even across species.
