12:15 - 13:30 Analysis Seminar Nonpure Analysis, Topology, Geometry, Dynamical Systems, Mechanics and Field Theory School MATHEMATICS As one day we extended the system of integer numbers $mathbb{Z}^n$ to noninteger numbers $mathbb{R}^n$ in order to be able to solve equations $F(x) = 0$ like $x^2-2=0$, quantum mechanics teaches us that we must again extend the system of numbers this time from the space of pure numbers $mathbb{R}^n$ to nonpure numbers again for solving some equations $F(x) = 0$. In these successive talks we define the space of nonpure numbers and reconstruct all analysis, topology, geometry, dynamical system, mechanics and field theory on this space. This theory also fits very well with the Connes's noncommutative geometry, for example cyclic coho ... 16:00 - 17:00 Mathematics Colloquium Model Theory of Valued Fields and Applications in Algebra and Number Theory School MATHEMATICS I will explain how model theory, combined with algebraic geometry, can have applications to groups, zeta functions, and counting problems in number theory. ... |
