10:00 - 11:00 Weekly Seminar Directed network inference of gene regulatory networks School BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES Farmanieh Building, Ground Floor, class A. One of the most important biological networks, with immediate applications in cancer prediction and drug development, are gene regulatory networks (GRNs). They are representing the regularity interactions of the genes. A GRN is often modeled as a graph composed of nodes (genes and proteins) and edges (gene-gene, protein DNA, and protein protein interactions). In this talk, we go beyond merely looking for associations and dependency between genes and try to discover the regulatory interactions as the cause-effect relationships between genes. To deal with the practical pro ... 11:00 - 12:00 Theory Weekly Seminar (TWS) Echoes from the Abyss: Evidence for Planck-scale structure at black hole horizons School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Larak Seminar Room ... |
