  Abstract:
In order to give an account of the ultra high energy asymptotics of quantized fields we propose a general relativistic kinetic approach. The possibility of this approach rests on an assumed persistence of a (state dependent) self-interaction of quantized fields in ultra small distances. In a kinetic approach the average structure of this interaction leads to the concept of local quantum inertia which emerges through the assumption of the (nonvanishing) existence of "dynamical scaling limit" for admissible physical states, an assumption which is not compatible with the requirement of a universal Lorentz-invariance. The distinctly marked global feature of the dynamical scaling limit makes it necessary to relate to a sort of quantum Mach's principle. We comment on the corresponding theory of gravity.
