  Abstract:
We introduce a contraction procedure for obtaining the Jordanian deformation of SL(2) from its Drinfeld-Jimbo deformation. To be specific, we obtain SLh(2), its differential geometry, and its star product from their q-deformed counterparts. We also present a transformation of the generators of Uq(sl(2)) which, in a limit, yield the generators of Uh(sl(2)).
