  Abstract:
The electrostatic interaction between two rod-like charged objects has been calculated at the presence of screening effects. For arbitrary 3D orientations of rods, at the presence of screening effects it is impossible to calculate the electrostatic interaction analytically and find a closed form for the interaction. In this work we try to study the screening effects on the electrostatic interaction, numerically. By considering a number of axial quadrupoles on each rod, first we have computed the energy in the absence of screening effects, numerically and compare them with our previous analytical results. Then we have computed the interaction energy at the present of screening effects. It is interesting that adding the screening effects does not change the orientations with minimum and maximum energy
