  Abstract:
We calculate the energy spectrum of the inclusive b-flavored hadrons in the decay of an unpolarized top quark into a bottom quark and a W+-boson at next-to-leading order (NLO). The helicity contributions of the W+-boson in the energy distribution of the B-hadron are determined. The helicities of the W+-boson are specified as longitudinal, transverse-plus and transverse-minus. In our calculation we apply the zero-mass variable-flavor-number scheme (ZM-VFNS) using realistic non-perturbative fragmentation functions obtained through a global fit to e+e data from CERN LEP1 and SLAC SLC.
